Job Description

Responsible for the development,  testing and implementation of web applications and components built using industry standard development tools such as PHP and Java.

  • Proficient SQL Skills for backend web application development (i.e. stored procedures, triggers).
  • Provide support for  current client accounts.
  • Create accurate technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for completed projects.
  • Assist in the review and maintenance of development standards and methodologies - Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting the web application infrastructure.Deliver on-time and within scope/specifications.
  • Work effectively with QA resources.
  • Actively seek to share and gain new knowledge in ones own as well as other technology areas.
  • Proactively participate in ongoing development process improvements.
Job Qualification

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent Analytical skills.
  • Strong design and development skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and J2EE.
  • Understanding of Apache configuration.
  • Should be able to work closely with the Senior Developer to improve and introduce quality coding practices such as coding standards, code reviews, configuration management, build management, profiling and unit testing.
  • Relational database modeling.
  • Application integration with HTTP, Web services and other Internet protocols.
  • Knowledge of a version control system, preferably CVS and subversion.
  • Experience working across the entire project lifecycle and actively used or applied structured software design and development methods.
  • Fluent English speaking/writing.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Knowledge of XML related technologies XSD, XSL, DTD, etc.

Education: Bachelor of Computer Sciences
